SCHEDULING NEWS
Here’s a heads up for a couple of months time where there won’t be the usual schedule for about 2 weeks. Usually I have stories booked way in advance so I can go on holiday for a month and still consistently publish. However, I’ve recently moved house and have no space to record until September.
I’ve managed to produce and schedule stories until the 15th August before things will go to a reduced schedule for, hopefully, no more than three weeks. There will be at least one video, every week, but there will be two paid-tier novelettes missed, as well as a couple of the Monday and Wednesday stories.
There isn’t much I can do to avoid this, but I apologise in advance. When I’m back in September, I’ll have a brand new professional audio booth, a quality new microphone and a much quieter recording location, so a big upgrade all round! With the new setup, I’ll be able to deliver much better quality sound, meaning I can start doing more professional narrations and get paid directly for audiobooks and other voiceover work.
I also won’t be able to respond to any comments or communications for a few weeks in July/August. The Newsletter will go out every week, pre-programmed.
I appreciate your understanding and I’m always grateful to all of you who support Stories From the Sky. Anyway, with that news out of the way, let’s get to this week’s stories!
MONDAY’S FREE STORY:
ZANY Sci-Fi Read Along: I Like Martian Music - Charles E. Fritch
TUESDAY BONUS:
An off-the-wall story by Charles E. Fritch which certainly isn’t your usual sci-fi fare. Made me chuckle, even if it is a little dark.
Collection of 4 Short Stories by Mack Reynolds
Mack Reynolds has been a consistent source of great stories for Stories From the Sky SFF. Here are some of his best:
Tourists to Terra
A Zloor For Your Trouble
Unborn Tomorrow
Potential Enemy
WEDNESDAY’S PAID CONTENT:
(4/6) The Jewels of Aptor - Samuel R. Delaney
The plot thickens even further as our adventurers get in great trouble to complete their quest, learning more about the mysteries of Aptor.
THURSDAY’S BIT OF SOMETHING DIFFERENT (Japanese Folklore):
2 Tales of Japanese Ladies - F. Hadland Davis
A couple of stories about the mysterious ladies of Japan. Yuki-Onna is a frightening prospect, while the Flower Ladies have very different fates.
FRIDAY’S FREE STORY (also on YouTube):

I’m delighted to share this story by Al Hess from the Keystone Codex. If you missed it, the first edition of the Keystone Codex came out for free a few weeks ago, with seven brilliant short stories by some of the best indie sci-fi authors around. You can get it for free here:
